Adelaide is located at the base of the Mount Lofty Ranges.
The city is surrounded by a plethora of parklands and the CBD is built around five squares which add to the tranquillity of the area, and give it a character of its own. Adelaide's sole remaining tram service runs from Glenelg via the city to the entertainment centre regularly. 'The City of Churches' has many cathedrals in and around the city and The Festival Theatre is world renowned for the bi-annual 'Festival of Arts'.
For those with shopping on their mind, there's Rundle Mall and the Central Market in the city centre, or only a short Tram and bus or car trip away is Glenelg's Jetty Road, Westfield Marion, Harbour Town, or West Lakes Shopping Centre.
And of course for those who are interested in Aussie Rules, there's Football park, in West Lakes, The Heritige Listed Adelaide Oval, and throughout the year, Adelaide is host to many other sporting events including the Adelaide 500 V8 Supercar Spectacular, Classic Adelaide International Rally, Panasonic World Solar Challenge, the Tour Down Under and the Adelaide International horse trials.
And finally, lets not forget the many cultural events that the 'Festival State' is renowned for such as "The Festival of Arts", Womadelaide, The Fringe, The Bay to Birdwood, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Barossa Vintage Festival and the McLaren Vale Sea and Vines Festival.
